Foil Stamp Effect Without the Cost

Using a Xerox Color Press 1000 with Metallic Gold Pantone 871C, Metallic Silver Pantone 877C, and Masterpiece Graphix TOUCHÉ® 13pt Black/White Duplex sheets, our partner Image Source recreated the look of foil stamping on these business cards, bakery menu, and invitation.Xerox-Soft-Touch_ImageSource_edited_web
The Xerox Color 1000i Press features an optional fifth print station that allows you to apply specialty dry inks, including Metallic Gold or Metallic Silver. According to Xerox, these are real metallic inks, complete with metallic flecks embedded in the toner. The inks create metallic and foil stamp-like effects, without the associated costs of traditional processes (make-ready time investment, custom dies, materials, and waste). Jobs that previously were outsourced for offset gold and silver printing and foil stamping – such as logos, invitations, certificates, report covers, posters, and business cards – can now be migrated to digital and produced inline and at rated speeds, resulting in quicker turnaround times and cost efficiency. The Masterpiece Graphix line of soft touch substrates, previously unavailable for digital printers, provide a luxurious, rose petal feel which compliments the elegance of the foil stamp look. The sensory appeal of these substrates grabs the customer’s attention with a product that feels expensive, baby soft, and luxurious. Soft touch substrates do not require any post print finishing and are perfect for short run printing jobs, direct mail, menus, exclusive invitations and tickets, business cards, brochure covers and booklets, hotel door hangers, and baby products.
