Dear Doug,
| Limitless Possibilities at MGX |
 |
|
In our 21 year history, we have proudly
coated over 500
different materials, and that list will only continue to
grow. We've set and are continually raising the bar for
standards in the digital topcoat industry and our impressive
list of available coated materials can easily cater to the
needs your customer demands. We are continually striving to
challenge ourselves, and we welcome any new materials that you
would like to test for printing.

MGX's ultimate goal is to allow our
customers to enter new markets with unique materials that no
one else is able to provide. Much like our ever expanding
materials list, the list of industries that we are now coating
for continues to grow as well; nearly 40 and still growing
strong. Don't let yourself be limited because of R&D costs
or uncertainty regarding which products are available for
printing; take advantage of our free R&D program and
extensive knowledge base that we have to offer. And also
remember that we not only offer topcoating for rolls, but for
sheets as well, along with die-cutting services. Don't let
yourself be limited to just one industry when we can offer you
the chance to expand.

As the first and only HP endorsed
digital topcoater, it is often overlooked that MGX can produce
ready to print materials for presses other than the HP Indigo.
No matter what brand of press you own, no matter it's
capabilities, we can supply you with the most impressive and
highest quality digital materials available.

| Off the Heels of a Successful
Dscoop |
 |
|
At the end of February, Masterpiece Graphix's president
Doug Watson, plant manager Bill Sauer, and sales reps Dan
Lawellin and Adam McIntyre traveled to San Diego, California
to participate in the third annual Dscoop Conference. Founded
in 2005 by the HP Indigo team, the conference allows industry
leaders and partners to share knowledge and ideas through
various forums, workshops, and events.
The conference kicked off on February 21st with a golf
tournament at Torrey Pines South golf course, where seventy-two participants hit the links for
the 18-hole match. A special congratulations to Steve Smith,
president of Lightning
Labels and long time MGX customer, who shot an extremely
impressive hole-in-one, while the entire group enjoyed the
mild California temperatures that the day had to offer.
Following the golf game, conference goers were able to attend
various sessions detailing different aspects of the printing
industry and the HP Indigo.
Friday was the official opening day of the conference.
Doug, along with Ed Dedman of Hewlett Packard, led the 'What's
New in Substrates' workshop where he discussed the HP
certification requirements, our company background, and the
ins-and-outs of toll coating. As evening gave way, those in attendance enjoyed
the HP sponsored Vintage Beach Bash, featuring members of The
Beach Boys along with Jan and Dean.
Saturday brought a new day of HP featured speakers and a
selection of 28 different sessions for participants to attend.
The general session speakers encouraged and challenged
attendees to take the momentum obtained at the conference back
to their offices to instill in each member of their companies
in hopes of inspiring new creativity and increasing
production.
Saturday night's closing session wrapped up the conference
festivities and allowed participants a chance to relax after
three days of learning, networking, and comparing ideas. The guys returned back to work on Monday morning
with fresh ideas on what can be done to better serve you, our
customers. On what his takeaway thoughts from the conference
were, Dan Lawellin said, "This is an ever expanding industry
with new breakthroughs and advancements being made each day.
We are on the leading edge with new products and materials
previously thought to be unusable on the Indigo. It is our job
to provide for our customers solutions that make them stand
out in the digital market, whether it be a particular niche
product, more affordable coating solution, or an entirely
custom built substrate, because that's what we are; custom
solutions providers."

| Quote of the Month |
 |
|
"Set your sights high, the higher the better. Expect
the most wonderful things to happen, not in the future, but
right now. Realize that nothing is too good. Allow absolutely
nothing to hamper you or hold you up in any way."
-Eileen Caddy
Use the upcoming Spring season as a way to 'turn
over a new leaf' and explore new materials and possibilities
that we have available to you. As Eileen Caddy said, 'Nothing
is too good"... we couldn't agree more. We are constantly and
consistently raising industry standards to provide our
customers with only the best digital ready products that are
available on the market today. Take advantage of what we
proudly produce and set your sights on new materials, new
industries, and new opportunities.
